The window frames and glazing in our homes are easy to clean and maintain. All opening casements have ‘easy-clean’ hinges to enable windows to be cleaned from the inside.

  • Wipe handles, doors and hinges regularly with a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt
  • Clean in line with the manufacturer’s instructions
  • Lubricate hinges and locks with light oil now and again to stop them stiffening up
  • Avoid scratches from rings and keys

  • Wipe over regularly with soapy water and a soft cloth
  • Paint/stain as part of your normal decorating cycle, remembering to lightly sand
  • Clean the surface and make sure it is completely dry before painting or staining
  • Do not paint or stain the frame weather strip, lock handles or hinges
  • Only apply a second coat when the first has had time to fully dry
  • Make sure the paint or stain is completely dry before closing
